A legacy to The Chelsea Pensioners' Appeal is one of the most generous gifts you can give. There are two main ways to give:
1. You can leave a purely financial legacy by naming a sum of money.
2. Alternatively, and this is what many people do, you could simply leave what is known as a "residuary" legacy, leaving us a proportion of your estate after all other legacies and expenses have been paid.
All bequests to The Chelsea Pensioners' Appeal are exempt from Inheritance Tax (Inheritance tax starts at 40% above the Nil rate band which for 2009/10 is £0 to £325,000)
