Michael's career has taken him all over the world as well as seeing him occupy the post of Sir Alec Douglas -Hume's bodyguard, in many countries. Later on Michael joined the Kent police as a crime scene officer but says he never really settled into civilian life. He has been a pensioner since 2007.
