Chelsea Arts ClubAs part of the Chelsea History Festival, Join Geoffrey Matthews, the secretary and CEO of the Chelsea Arts Club, as he explores the colourful history of this unique Bohemian meeting place for London’s artists, writers and performers.

Established in 1891, the Chelsea Arts Club has occupied the same house in Old Church Street since 1902. As well as painters, sculptors, designers, photographers and architects, its members include film-makers, poets, writers, dancers, actors and musicians.

Join Matthews as he shares the colourful inside story of the Club’s foundation and early history, including the origins of the famous Chelsea Arts balls, through fascinating pictures and documents from its archives.
