The role

The principle duties would include:

  • Contributing, developing and implementing robust and compliant policies, with a particular responsibility for facilities assurance, health & safety and security through an outsourced   contract
  • Maintaining an up to date knowledge and understanding of areas within the areas of responsibility.
  • Alerting the organisation to any significant requirements or changes within the areas of responsibility.
  • Updating policies and procedures to reflect changes whether legal, or regulatory.

The person

The successful candidate must have completed a substantial service in the Armed Forces, ideally having obtained the rank of Captain or above.  For this post, living on site is required as the successful candidate will facilitate the performance of military duties and on-site senior management cover for emergencies.

We are looking for someone who has a solid experience of working in the facilities, estate and contract management service with comprehensive up to date knowledge regarding relevant regulation and compliance.  Knowledge of the key policy drivers and challenges facing this sector would be desirable. The successful candidate will have experience of working as a senior manager within a senior management team and a proven ability to lead and manage staff in a supportive and motivational manner. A professional health and safety qualification is essential. Salary is £50,000 - £53,000 depending on experience.

Successful candidates will be invited to interview on Friday 31 May 2019 and will be expected to give a brief oral presentation to the panel.
