London Square pledges support for the Chelsea Pensioners

12th August 2014

Property developer London Square has pledged its continued support for the Chelsea Pensioners by becoming a silver Corporate Friend of the Royal Hospital.

London Square marked the occasion by inviting a group of Chelsea Pensioners to be among the first to view their exclusive new development in nearby Fulham.

The group of five Pensioners visited the London Square Fulham showhome and enjoyed afternoon tea in the home’s garden, created by 2014 RHS Chelsea Gold Medal winner Jo Thompson.

The same group of Chelsea Pensioners visited the garden designed by Jo Thompson at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in May, which was sponsored by London Square and won the top accolade in the Fresh Garden category.

Rebecca Littler, Sales & Marketing Director of London Square, said: “We were delighted to welcome the Chelsea Pensioners to the new showhome at London Square Fulham after their involvement at Chelsea. We are very proud that our new showhome features a garden designed by Gold Medallist Jo where she has created a delightful space to sit and relax, with a terrace for outdoor entertaining.”

Fundraising Manager at the Royal Hospital Chelsea Kate Marsh added: “We are delighted that London Square has chosen to support the Chelsea Pensioners.  The sense of community that their developments create is something that has existed at the Royal Hospital for over 300 years, and we’re incredibly grateful to London Square for helping us to provide the very best care and service to veterans who have so loyally served our country.”
