The Chelsea Pensioners travel far and wide during the Remembrance period, not just across the UK but also to other countries around the world. The map below shows just a selection of locations the Pensioners visited whilst attending Remembrance related events in 2018, which also marked the Centenary year of the end of World War I.

The Royal Hospital dates back to the late 17th century, but the story of the land where it stands has been traced back still further. Research from the Museum of London Archaeology has thrown light on the site’s varied past.
