We, at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, welcome you to explore our historic site, led by one of our very own Chelsea Pensioners.
The Royal Hospital Chelsea is the home of the iconic Chelsea Pensioners, who are all retired soldiers of the British Army. Since 1692, we have offered care and comradeship for veterans in recognition of their loyal service to the Nation. The Pensioners reside in the Grade I and II listed site, a beautiful architectural legacy left to us by King Charles II and Sir Christopher Wren.
We welcome you to explore our historic site under the guidance of our expert Chelsea Pensioner Tour Guides. Please note, for parties larger than 10, please contact our tours team directly via 'tours@chelsea-pensioners.org.uk' or 020 7881 5237.
The Royal Hospital is a working historic building, with a resident community of Army veterans over the age of 65 years. For their safety, we do retain some COVID-19 infection control measures, though these are consistently under review.
The guided tour is inclusive of a visit to our museum and shop.
On the day please make your way to Chelsea Gate and have your ticket ready to show upon arrival.
Please note that the Royal Hospital Chelsea reserves the right to cancel tours. If the Hospital has to cancel a tour at short notice we will reimburse in full or suggest another date that suits.
