The Royal Hospital Chelsea welcomes the Boy Choristers of Salisbury Cathedral Choir for an evening of classic and contemporary choral music.
Salisbury Cathedral Choirs have been the mainstay of a musical tradition of excellence for over 1,000 years and were first endowed by Bishop Simon of Ghent, then Bishop of Salisbury, in 1314. In this special concert, the Boy Choristers of Salisbury Cathedral Choir will be performing classic and contemporary choral repertoire from renowned composers such as J S Bach, William Byrd, Grayston Ives and Philip Wilby.
The programme will also include two organ solos: Byrd’s Fantasia in D and Stanford’s Allegretto Op.101 No.1.
The evening will conclude with a glass of wine in the State Apartments.
